With Book Week only around the corner it may be time to start organising a fancy dress costume for your little one. The date for book week for 2011 is August 20th - 26th. Each and every year schools, Libraries and children participate in book week celebrating books and Australian authors and illustrators. Book week has been celebrating for over 65 years making it the longest running children's festival in Australia. Teachers and librarians alike help children understand the importance of reading by developing activities, offer competitions and reading stories relating to a theme.
