Raggedy Ann & Andy Costumes, and Accessories

Raggedy Ann and Raggedy Andy are fictional literary characters created by American writer Johnny Gruelle. They appear in a series of children's books that are both written and illustrated by Gruelle himself. Raggedy Ann first appeared in the 1918 book Raggedy Ann Stories, and Raggedy Andy's first appearance was in the aptly named Raggedy Andy Stories in 1920. The two characters have also been adapted into dolls, toys, sewing patterns, animated films and TV series, a comic book and more.

Raggedy Ann is a rag doll with red yarn for hair, as well as a cute blue dress and white apron. Raggedy Andy is her brother, and he famously wears a sailor outfit with similar red yarn hair. Originally, Raggedy Ann dolls were produced by hand and they were marketed alongside the books' original release to great popularity and financial success. There have been no less than 65 books produced over the years, in various different series.
