Superman costumes and accessories

Superman is arguably the most popular superhero in the world, and everyone will recognise this iconic character. Superman was created by writer Jerry Siegel and artist Joe Shuster in 1933, and was sold to DC Comics (then Detective Comics, Inc.) in 1938. The character first appeared in the comic book Action Comics #1 in June 1938, and afterwards he appeared in various radio serials, television programs, films, newspaper strips, and video games. This means that Superman is turning 80 years old in 2018! He's doing pretty well for an old timer!

Superman's immense popularity helped begin and develop the superhero genre that we know today. His outfit and look is an icon of pop culture around the world. Superman is known for his blue suit and red cape, as well as the stylized red and yellow "S" logo on his chest. Superman was born on the planet Krypton and his birth name is Kal-El. He was sent to Earth as a child just before Krypton was destroyed, and was raised by a human family as Clark Kent. He grew up to use his powers for the benefit of humanity.
