The Opportunity

We are seeking motivated and reliable Junior Warehouse Assistants for peak seasonal casual positions, running from September through to December. Multiple positions are available, with a minimum of 2 up to 6 shifts per week available.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in our receiving team – making sure incoming stock is checked in and put away accurately so the rest of the warehouse can keep dispatching orders on time. You’ll also help out with picking from time to time when the team needs an extra pair of hands. You’ll be joining a team of up to 20, all working together to meet daily dispatch targets during our busiest time of year.

This role would suit applicants seeking to gain experience in supermarket night fill, retail stocking, or similar warehouse and replenishment work.

Your day-to-day will include:

-Receiving incoming stock deliveries, upacking pallets, and putting stock away in picking and bulk locations

-Replenishing pick locations so our order pickers never run out of stock

-Picking stock to  help fulfil customer orders when needed

-Incidental cleaning and warehouse keeping duties

About You

To be considered for this role, you’ll need to demonstrate:

-A genuine interest in our products and what we do

-A positive attitude and team-first mindset

-Willingness to learn new systems and processes, and confidence to ask questions

-Strong attention to detail

-The ability to hustle - working efficiently and pulling your weight to keep the warehouse moving

-Reliability and punctuality - turning up on time, ready to work

-Availability after school through to 9:30pm, and Saturday's until 1pm

You will need to be physically fit as you will be on your feet and moving throughout your shift, safely performing all aspects of the role, including:

-pushing a 50kg trolley up and down the aisles of the warehouse

-Picking and placing stock at heights ranging from floor level up to 2m

-Handling parcels up to 22kg

-Climbing ladders and bending frequently to manage inventory

Shortlisted candidates will be asked to provide recent referee details who can speak positively to your teamwork, reliability, productivity, attendance and attention to detail.
